CRUDE ASSAYS ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION

One of the main businesses of PII,s members is to operate a number of refineries in India and also to provide services for Operations and Maintenance of refineries abroad as highlighted in our capabilities and experiences. The selection of the Crude(s) for processing in the refineries requires detailed analysis and study / interpretation of the Crude Assays. Such studies and analysis is carried out by our member companies and the associated R&D centers that are well equipped and possess experienced manpower Moreover, with the International trade occupying an important function, buying and selling of crude oils has gained importance to get the best deals for improving the operating profits of the Oil companies. The data generated by our own analysis and R&D has been useful to optimize the refinery operations and skills have been developed to interpret the data for commercial exploitation. Some of the main analysis carried out include detailed crude oil characterization,  hydrocarbon structural analysis, full product analysis,etc.

PII has also the capabilities to train personnel for testing of the samples at the Laboratory scale and to assist in interpretation of the assay results to derive benefit for suitability of processing in the refineries and also for trading the crude.

EXPERIENCES:

PII's capabilities have been recognized by International Agencies for conducting “Long” Crude Assays and an assignment  has been awarded by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Nigeria to analyze Six Crude samples. This assignment has been successfully completed for four samples and the balance samples are to be delivered.
