The goal is to meet and have a better compliance for the proposed new rule on Hazardous Waste Management, 2008 by MOE&F and have a complete visibility of all activities Carried out. System enables to Capture, manage, control, handle, track, monitor inventory and dispose various hazardous wastes in an effective way giving importance to environment, safety and improve the turn around time period of waste disposal. It is a common system used by both Mumbai and Kochi refineries and is implemented for the first time in Indian Refineries.
Work Permit is an important tool for safety and security in hydrocarbon processing and handling. For works to be carried out in a hydrocarbon unit by any Agency other than the regular operating personnel, a duly authorized permit needs to be issued to the Agency prior to the commencement of work. Even regular personnel operating beyond their normal routine require such specific permits. To control and speed up the permit approval process in refinery PII’s Work Permit System is a handy tool to issue work permits while enhancing the safety and security of the work environment.
