One of the core competencies of PII is its ability to offer an array of best in class training programs on technical and management subjects of all aspects of oil industry. Additionally, PII is one of the few organizations in theworld, that can provide hands-on refinery training.  PII through its number of Training Institutes & Centers attached to our member companies can offer customized programs related to the oil sector from entry level to senior management level.


PII is also an accredited agency for specialized drilling certificate programs, such as ‘International Well Control Forum (IWCF)’, UK.  & International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC), USA. Currently PII has 4 IWCF centers operating in India and abroad.

‘Experience through Expertise’ has been the underlying philosophy behind PII’s training programs.  The pool of PII faculty has spent years experimenting and exploring various new ideas in the field of training, with a view to develop highly skilled, motivated and totally committed manpower.

The PII training programs have been highly valued by hundreds of engineers and executives from Africa, the Middle East and other South Asian countries.  Not only are the programs practical and aimed to giving hands-on management and technical skills, but they are also updated regularly to meet the needs of changing business environment.

The accent of training conducted by PII is on “real life” situations using modern training aids and techniques such as case-study methods, simulation exercises, role play and various other structured and unstructured pedagogic tools.

Competitive Advantage of PII in the Area of Training
 
Our member companies’ Technical and Management Training Centers and R & D Institutes are made available to PII for conducting training program for our clients. These institutes / centers have been developed and nurtured by the Indian Petroleum industry over the last five decades as captive training centers for the Petroleum Industry.

The training programs cover the entire gamut of petroleum industry related activities ranging from exploration, drilling, production, refining, marketing, engineering and management.

The trainers  of all these institutes are practicing managers who have very sound academic knowledge and extensive hands on experience. This enables them to impart contemporary and relevant training. There is a large resource pool of trainers in these institutes, who can be deputed by Petroleum India International to conduct programs at client’s premises.

The member companies of PII have got 17 refineries having a total refining capacity of more than 100 million tones per annum. These refineries have all major processing units such as Catalytic Reforming, Catalytic Cracking, Hydrocracker, Delayed Coker Unit / Visbreaker Unit and Lube Refining. Because of this, PII is in a unique position to train employees of our clients on the operations of all major processing Units of refineries.
