A Brief Introduction on IADC Programs
IADCs’ Well control accreditation program (Well CAP) is a system designed to assist industry professionals in developing and delivering recognized standards of well control training.
Well CAP identifies concepts and skills essential to well Control instruction for three levels: Introductory, Fundamental, & Supervisory Level.
Well CAP is a road map for the destination of quality well control instruction. IADC established this program in 1995 to help develop a better way to reach employee competency to world over in managing well control activities on site.

Course Schedule
Interested participants / companies may register their names for IADC course. Depending upon the number of nominations received PII shall arrange to schedule / conduct the course in India or abroad.
Venue
Mumbai or any other location in India or abroad.
Course Overview
The course duration is five days. Course starts on first day at 09:30 hrs and finishes on fifth day at 16:30 hrs. For first four days, there is extensive class room teaching followed by practical sessions on IADC Compliant Simulator. Assignment containing questions pertaining to day’s curriculum are given to the participants & discussion on assignment is taken up the next morning

Rig Math’s, U Tube Concept, Pressure Basics, LOT, MAASP, Kick Indicators, Top Hole Drilling, Line-Up, FOSV, IBOP, Shut in Procedures & Simulator Practice. |
| DAY 2 |
Assignment Discussion, Drilling fluids, Causes of Kick, Shut in Pressures, Recording of Kick Data, Influx Behavior, Slow Circulation Rate, Drillers’ and Wait & Weight Method & Simulator Practice. |
| DAY 3 |
Assignment Discussion, Kill Sheet, Ram & Annular Preventor, Diverter, RAM Bops, Function and Pressure Testing of BOPs, Drills, Equipments & Simulator Practice. |
| DAY 4 |
Assignment discussion, BOP Control Unit and Trouble Shooting, Vacuum Degasser, Unusual Situation in Well Control (only for Supervisory level Course), Simulator Practice & Industry /Government Policy. |

Assignment Discussion, IADC written Exam &
Simulator Test. |
IADC EXAMINATION
PII IADC Certification program consists of a written exam and the simulator practical test, conducted on the last day of the course. A participant has to score minimum of 70% in both to qualify for the IADC certificate. Validity of the IADC certificate is two years.
